Whether it is a small group meeting or a large wedding First Unitarian has room for you. Located in the heart of the old Capitol Hill neighborhood our historic building has a modern interior with large open spaces that can accommodate classroom configurations as well as elegant receptions. A new elevator allows handicap accessibility to every floor of our facility. Our rental rates make having your function in a useful, inviting space affordable for any budget. Discounts are available for weddings and nonprofit organizations, please email the First Unitarian office for room availability and details.
Sanctuary
The largest room in the building has seating for 250. A grand piano and professional sound system make this room perfect for large presentations. $110.00/hr.
Community Room and Kitchen
Located on our main floor this large open room has tables (round and rectangle) to seat 120. For functions that don't require seating the community room will stand 200 people. The kitchen has plenty of counter space, commercial grade stove, and large volume coffee maker. $95.00/hr.
Chapel
A large rose window dominates this open room that seats 50 and stands 90. There is an upright piano in the Chapel making this a great rehearsal space. $50.00/hr.
Multipurpose Room
This informal room is located on the lower level but has large exterior windows making bright and airy. A 65" high definition TV is available and makes movie viewing easy and fun. 35 people fit comfortably in our version of the classic recreation room. $50.00/hr.
Sitting Room
Filled with couches and with an exposed stone wall our sitting room is perfect for small discussion groups of 8 or less. $25.00/hr.
Classrooms
First Unitarian has four classroom of various sizes that sit 10-15 people. $30.00/hr.
Extras
The kitchen is fully supplied with china, glassware, and table linen use of these items is included in the rental of the community room and/or kitchen. Secured wireless Internet is available as well computer projector and screen for a small additional charge.
Note: Being an inner city church and for the safety of all of our guests a gate keeper fee of $17.50/hr will be added to any room rental. This will provide a person to unlock the building, watch the entrance, and secure the building afterward.
