THE MINISTER’S WAR weaves together the story of Unitarian activists, Waitstill and Martha Sharp, and their "errands of mercy and rescue," to quote Unitarian minister, Jack Mendelsohn. The film showcases the remarkable Sharps as real people who boldly committed to a hands-on approach to social justice, regardless of the consequential strains it would prove to have on their personal lives. When seventeen others turned down Unitarian Reverend Everett Baker's request for relief volunteers, Waitstill and Martha committed to the dangerous undertaking.
